With keen insight into marketing strategy, Carolyn has a particular talent for finding the key emotional element that drives action from the reader. Her skills as a copywriter and ability to quickly grasp our clients’ unique positioning make her an invaluable member of the team.
Carolyn began her career at InterVarsity Christian Fellowship where she quickly advanced to become Creative Director. Besides her fundraising and management responsibilities, she also served as Marketing Director for two of InterVarsity’s highly successful Urbana Student Mission Conventions (1984 and 1987). As Direct Marketing Manager for Food for the Hungry, an international relief and development organization, Carolyn honed her fundraising skills. She then joined an agency, the Domain Group, and broadened her experience with a wide variety of not-for-profit clients, including Josh McDowell Ministries, The Bible League, Seattle Union Rescue Mission and many others. In her next position, as VP/Executive Creative Director for The Hacker Group (now HackerAgency) in Seattle, she continued to write for non-profit clients, such as the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Children’s Home Society and Overlake Hospital.
Carolyn has a BA in Journalism/Advertising from the University of Wisconsin. She’s married to Ross Arnold, Pastor of Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico.
