Production/Fulfillment Manager ~ Impact Messaging
Daphne graduated from North Carolina State University where she studied Marketing and Business Management. She discovered her passion for nonprofits soon after graduating and has since dedicated a large part of her career to volunteering and serving on advisory boards and steering committees including Band Together, Passage Home, Carroll’s Kitchen, Denver Rescue Mission, Rapid’s Sidekicks, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children and Gamma Phi.
Before entering a full-time career in marketing, Daphne spent the first four years of her professional career with Fidelity Bank, learning the ins and outs of the banking industry while managing a team of six and overseeing training efforts for five branches. Daphne largely attributes her leadership, operational and financial strengths, as well as her client-relations expertise, to her experiences in banking. In 2010, Daphne made a professional transition into the marketing industry and has been helping nonprofit clients tell their stories ever since.
Through her work as a production/fulfillment manager, Daphne has had the opportunity to touch more than 80 nonprofits and enjoyed leading several campaigns that have collectively poured millions back into her community. Day to day, Daphne creates marketing strategies, directs communications efforts and develops public relations tactics for nonprofit accounts. She also oversees branding identities, campaigns, collateral development and event management for her clients.
Daphne is known for her dependability, attention to detail and her can-do attitude. With more than 10 years in client relations and eight years in marketing specifically, her history and skills for nonprofit marketing make her a natural fit to serve the wide variety of Dickerson, Bakker & Associates clientele.
Daphne and her husband, Wells Thompson, reside in Raleigh, North Carolina with their three boys and golden retriever.
