With over 28 years serving in ministry in Tennessee, Georgia and Arkansas and over 12 years as a consultant for Christian organizations, Gary has provided counsel in fund-raising for many years. He has personally led numerous capital campaigns to successful conclusions–in fact during his 17-year tenure with Dickerson, Bakker & Associates, Gary has managed more capital campaigns than almost any other consultant on our team.
Those who have worked with Gary in past campaigns frequently describe him as someone who has both the strong organizational skills to manage complex campaigns, as well as a tireless worker who is not at all unwilling to get into the fray and do what needs to be done to ensure that a campaign is successful.
Gary has also served on several boards of mission organizations and Bible Colleges. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis and was a three-year letterman for the UM baseball team. A former Air Controller in the USAF for four year, Gary is also a baseball historian.
He has spoken in many churches, youth gatherings and conventions and his style of speaking includes the Bible, humor and Biblical stewardship that can be appropriate with youth as well as adults.
Gary is married to Cathy, has two children and five grandchildren, and resides in Seymour, Tennessee.
