Vice President - Client Services
Growing up, Mindy Robbins wanted to be a missionary. But God had other plans.
She worked for five years selling payroll systems for Empower Software. A natural salesperson, she quickly became a top-performer in the company, exceeding her sales goals every year and becoming national sales manager. During this time she also learned a mastery of Salesforce. She never realized it then, but she knows now that God was using her sales experience at Empower to prepare her for a time down the road when she would be called on to supervise a team of nearly a dozen major gift officers.
Mindy also worked for 17 years in the field of conference management, overseeing events and conferences for brands such as Hyatt and Wyndham Hotels. She was a member of the leadership team responsible for the opening of the prestigious Gaylord Resort in Grapevine, Texas, where she oversaw a team of over fifty staff responsible for booking and managing conferences and events. God used that experience to help her become masterful at planning and implementing events, and later in her career she became instrumental in helping to manage and conduct fundraising events that routinely raised several million dollars each, some even resulting in gifts and pledges that exceeded $10 million in a single event.
In 2010 Mindy joined The Seed Company, based in Arlington Texas, one of the evangelical world’s foremost major gift fundraising operations, where she started as a CRM Administrator but quickly rose through the ranks to become Senior Vice President, directing a 25-member fundraising team. There she was privileged to be part of a leadership team that was blessed with an unprecedented five-year arc of growth, during which time annual giving rose from $23 million to $40 million, driven almost entirely by an expansion of major giving.
One of Mindy’s favorite Scriptures is John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” That verse bears testimony to her sense that God has gifted her with skills and prepared the way through her career in order that she would be ready to serve in her current capacity, helping other faith-based organizations transform the way they do fundraising – particularly major gift fundraising, in order that they can develop the resources they need to tap into their potential for ministry.
In a sense, her dream of becoming a missionary came true. Except that her mission field is right here, helping others be the best they can be at what God has called them to do.
Mindy attended Texas Tech University with a focus on marketing. She and her husband, Robert, live in Mansfield TX near the Dallas/Fort Worth area with their three children.
